Affordable medical waste compliance

through innovative technology

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

Is the ninth leading cause of death in the United States with over 1 in 7 Americans suffering from this condition. Dialysis, which filters waste out of the blood and removes excess fluids from the body, is the most common treatment for end-stage kidney disease.

Dialysis machines

Use dialysate (a mixture of clean, AAMI grade water mixed with both an acid and base concentrate) to pull toxins from the blood of over 786,0001 renal patients in the United States three times per week.

Dialysate disposal

Is caustic, corrosive and potentially dangerous to patients and medical personnel. This results in costly plumbing repairs and potential liability for damages caused by non-compliant disposal of these fluids.

About Us

Creating a safer environment

Golightly Plumbing started as a woman owned, family-run business in 1989. Prior to obtaining her plumbing license, she was and continues to be a Registered Nurse. Our journey started with as-builts, tenant improvements and new construction.

Eventually, we made the natural transition to medical facilities. We were presented with the opportunity to learn and experience a new area of healthcare plumbing that combined our Owner’s two passions; to create a solution for our customers and protection for their patients.
As experienced plumbers working in healthcare facilities throughout California, making repairs in occupied patient rooms, we observed the problems that arose with the disposal of dialysate through unregulated areas. Disposing dialysate in floor drains, shower drains, sink drains, etc., poses health risks to patients and healthcare workers.

Healthcare facilities incur costly repairs due to caustic fluids corroding waste pipes. Repairs create loss of revenue in patient rooms that must be vacated. MED-FLUSH’S solution is a holistic, patient-first, approach to plumbing. Our goal is to create a safer environment for our healthcare professionals, dialysis and non- dialysis patients alike.

Testimonials

Medical facilities that have tested MED-FLUSH experience a greater level of safety for their employees and patients, while safely eliminating harmful waste that corrodes plumbing.

I would advocate that any healthcare facility can use this new product. It is money saving versus paying to have a cold water line and a drain installed. It has saved my facility time and money, with absolutely no plumbing issues. I would recommend this combination unit to anyone, try one and see for yourself. Thank you for giving my facility the opportunity to utilize the many benefits of this unit.
